Mission Statement:
At Five-O Driving School, our mission is to educate and equip new drivers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to navigate the roads safely and responsibly. As law enforcement professionals, we’re passionate about sharing our expertise to make a positive impact on our community. We’re dedicated to creating a supportive, engaging, and fun learning environment that fosters a culture of defensive driving and mutual respect on the roads. Our goal is to not only teach driving skills, but to also inspire a lifelong commitment to safe and responsible driving practices. By doing so, we’re helping to build a safer, more courteous, and more considerate community, one driver at a time!
About Us:
I’m a father of two beautiful young ladies, and they are my world. We are a Christian family and believe in Jesus’s teachings. Mark 22:39. “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” This is the Golden Rule and one value that I have tried to instill in my daughters. This is how I try to live my life and teach my students. I started Five-0 Driving School because I have a passion for teaching and mentoring children, and know the dangers and repercussions of inexperienced drivers on the roadway.
I have worked in law enforcement for 23 years and been a commissioned peace officer for 15 years. I have worked in several capacities during my law enforcement career, including Detention Officer, Deputy Sheriff, K9 Officer, Criminal Investigator, and a Certified School Resource Officer (SRO). I received my Basic Peace Officer Certification in 2009, Intermediate Peace Officer Certification in 2017, and Advanced Peace Officer Certification in 2021. I am a State Certified Law Enforcement Driver Training (LEDT) Instructor by the Oklahoma Counsel on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET), as well as a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) DWI Detection and Enforcement / SFST Instructor.
I received several awards for my efforts in Traffic Safety at the Oklahoma BUCKLEDDOWN Awards, which is an annual awards ceremony for law enforcement. Since 1993, The Oklahoma BUCKLEDOWN Awards Program has recognized Oklahoma Law Enforcement Officers for “Outstanding” performance in the areas of Traffic Safety, Occupant Protection, and Impaired Driving. I’ve received awards for my efforts in Traffic Safety and Occupant Protection.
